Solstice Invocation of Medusa Consciousness
On the Summer Solstice, Maria Molteni’s large scale painted groundwork “Gateway to Infinity (An Anti-monument)” was unveiled on June 21, 2023. Molteni and non-binary Italian American collaborators Vin Caponigro, Laura Campagna, Ash Capachione created a public ritual upon the newly finished painted artwork, a spiraling labyrinth representing non-dual, cyclical expansion at Triskele & The Monster’s Tools: A Solstice Invocation of Medusa Consciousness. Three Gorgons (Molteni, Caponigro, and Laura Ganci), united by a lunar Priestess (Campagna), journeyed to the center of the an Anti-monument, to invoke Medusa and the emerging awareness that recent reflections on her myth have reawakened.
Short Film: Triskele & The Monster’s Tools: A Solstice Invocation of Medusa Consciousness
