Astrology & Tarot At The Library

Laura Campagna has offered tarot reading events and Intro to Tarot workshops at over 40 libraries in Massachusetts since 2019. Tarot events are popular, bring new patrons into the library, are a special hit with teens, and can be offered annually. Tarot workshops and readings provide a connective space for community support, fun, and engagement.

Introduction to Tarot Workshop
The Intro to Tarot workshop is 90 minutes and open to complete beginners or seasoned practitioners. Libraries can host up to 40 participants per class and both adults and teens are welcome. Its extra fun when generations of families come together. Students will need a tarot deck and a journal and pen to bring to the class. Laura has 15 decks to share, but libraries are encouraged to ask students to bring their personal deck if they have one. The room should have a white board or easel and paper, and tables so students have a surface to shuffle and play with the cards. Laura will send librarians a pdf handout with tarot spreads for students to use as a guide during class. These events are popular and can be offered annually. The cost is $400, which includes travel time.

Tarot Reading Events
Tarot reading events at the library provide a unique opportunity for patrons to receive a one-on-one experience of tarot through exploration of the topic of their choosing. During this 2 hour event, Laura can see between 10-12 patrons for a 10-15 minute reading each. Adults and teens all enjoy receiving readings. Grades 9-12 seem to get the most out of the events but middle school students also enjoy participating. Advance registration with times is recommended. The cost is $400, which includes travel time.

Intro to Astrology
At the moment of our birth, for just a few minutes in the sky, the alignment of the stars reflects a map of our life. These planetary positions portend the strength and talents we possess, as well as the challenges we may face during our lifetime. Astrology, the study of the relationship between the cycles of celestial bodies and the lives of people on earth, offers a key to deciphering this guide. This Introduction to Astrology workshop will explore your astrological identity–Sun, Moon, and Rising (SMR)--offering insight into your essential nature. The class is 90 minutes and open to complete beginners. You can have up to 40 participants and both adults and teens are welcome. It is useful for students to have their birth date, time, and location data available. The cost is $400, which includes travel time.
